Krav Maga for kids

Kids Krav Maga is a unique form of resilience training for children, because the focus is on practice. This method is based on years of global experience on a large scale and adapted to the perception, strength and physique of children. A child who is resilient is ultimately better able to guard his or her limits, can defend himself verbally and physically and dares to express his or her own opinion.

“Discipline, respect and good social skills are three core concepts of the lessons.”

In the lessons, children learn in a playful way how they can defend themselves verbally and physically, and that they can hold their own in today's society with sufficient self-confidence. Children gain self-esteem and self-confidence through the Kids Krav Maga. An additional advantage is that training from a young age immediately benefits physical development and motor skills. Discipline, respect and good social skills are three core concepts of the lessons. Controlling aggression, verbally resolving conflicts and treating each other with respect are an important part of the lessons. Children are provided with the necessary tools to respond adequately in difficult situations and by letting them experience their successes, your child's self-confidence will grow. Also in other situations in which children can end up, such as strangers who address them, an adult who grabs them, how to act in the event of a fire or when you lose your parents on the beach, for example. We think it is important that a child knows what the possibilities are to deal with this effectively, so such situations are also extensively discussed in the lessons.

The lessons are divided into age groups so that they can train with other peers. Age group 7 to 10 years Kids and Teenagers group 11 to 15 years. At Kids Krav Maga we work with sub-levels and K levels. The children are given the opportunity to pass a sub-level after a few months. This test is taken at our club. This test is to test the progress and is also a good motivator. After 6 sub-levels your child can go for his/her K level test. The tests are both at the club and nationally. The national tests are administered by an instructor who comes from Israel. It is an official happening where parents, grandpas and grandmas come to watch. Achieving a K level e.g. from K1 to K2 means that the child is ready to take the next step to the next K level. There are 5K levels. With the Teens we have 5 levels here we do not work with sub-levels, this system is more similar to the system we use with the adults. A level test can be done once a year for the next level. e.g. from J1 to J2.
